William Edward Ritchie's Obituary
William “Bill” Edward Ritchie passed away on Tuesday, November 28,
2017 at the age of 74. Survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Marilyn
Guidry Ritchie, he was the loving father of Timothy Ritchie (Alexa) and
Kelly Ritchie Camenzuli (Francois) and the late David Ritchie and Catherine
Ritchie. Brother of Faye Luhks, of Dallas, TX. Son of the late Douglas and
Marjorie Ritchie of Lockport, LA and brother of the late Douglas “Bryan”
Ritchie of Thibodeaux, LA. Grandfather “Pops” to Brennan, Kramer and
Arden Ritchie and Isabelle and Abigail Camenzuli.
Bill was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending
time with family, friends and his various hunting dogs. His career began in
the marsh buggy dragline industry, evolved into the marine towing and later
maritime claims/consulting industry. Throughout his lifetime, Bill was
actively involved in various maritime organizations as well as his
neighborhood association, where he proudly served as President and parcel
representative.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial services at E.J.
Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on
Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 12:00 noon with visitation on Saturday
beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial
Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr.
Ritchie to be made to DSAGNO - Down Syndrome Assoc. of Greater New
