When I was young I lived with his daughter Deborah "Drew" in Nashville TN. He was always so kind and supportive of her endeavors. Drew and I remained friends for years, but have since lost touch. I awoke Monday morning thinking of Drew and her family. As I searched again on line to try to find Drew I learned of her dad's passing. I wish you my sincerest condolences. I would love to hear from Drew as I know how she loveed her dad and would go home every season to help with his Mardi Gras floats. They had a special connection. My husband and I want to send our condolences to Mrs. Emogene, Scott, and Deborah. We are very sorry for your loss. Travis worked for Mr. Pete for a couple of years and Mr. Pete was best man in our wedding. Words cannot express what a wonderful man Mr. Pete was and what an influence Mr. Pete and Mr. Carl had on Travis. Our hearts go out to you all.
Pete was a very important person in our lives for many years. When I was Captain of Olympia he assisted in every way possible and made the Ball and Parade run smoothly each year. If it needed doing, Pete did it.
He was sweet and gentle, and will be missed
