William Johnston Gibert's Obituary
William Johnston Gibert passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2007.
He was born May 18, 1957 in New Orleans, LA to the late William Pierre and Rosalie Johnston Gibert and has been a resident of Covington all of his life with the exception of from 1992 to 2001 when he lived in Fort Myers, FL.
While living in Fort Myers, he became a Licensed Massage Therapist.
In 1975 he graduated from Darlington High School in Rome, GA, then attended Southeastern Louisiana University where he graduated with a B.A. in Economics and was a member of Delta Tau Delta Social Fraternity.
He is survived by one uncle, Leon Jacque Gibert, three aunts, Josephine “Tina” Gibert Farwell, Althea “Mimi” Raynold Gibert and Doris Miller Gibert; a step-sister, Daphne Robinson Palliser; five special friends, his dog, Angel, Fay Fugler Hill, Beth Francis, Charlotte K. Fanz and Liz Landers. Other survivors include Betty Johnston Kozel; and many cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of his Life on Saturday February 10, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Christ Episcopal Church, 120 S. New Hampshire, Covington, LA 70433.
A Memorial visitation will be from 10:00 AM to service time at the church.
Flowers will be accepted, but must be delivered to church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Estate of William J. Gibert for the Preservation of the Grounds of “Sunnybrook” or donations of ones choice.
