I am sorry I am so late in extending my condolences to you all. I just found out about Billy. I attended USL with Billy and was one of the little sisters of Delta Tau Delta. Billy was a wonderful person and a good friend. We even dated a time or two. My ex-husband, Brian, was a Delta Tau Delta brother of Billy's. I was extremely saddened to see that the world has lost another "angel" for that is what Billy was to me at USL.
My late father, Gerald D. King, Sr. was Billy's godfather. On behalf of my mother Belle, my brother Jerry, and my sister Jan, we would like to express our sincere sympathy to the Gibert family on your loss. We will remember him fondly...
I'm sorry Bill passed away. I just saw him over the Holidays when he came over to my house. We talked for awhile and I showed him how to do a repair on a silver candleabra he had brought over. We each mentioned our health problems but he looked fine, so this is a very unwelcome surprise. You might find my name in some of Rosalie's papers. We were friends as well through our New Orleans conections.
