Richard Warner
Billy was my best friend at Covington High before the family moved to Baton Rouge at the end of our sophomore year I remember many good times especially when all of us kids would pile in that old 1947 Ford Woody Station Wagon and go riding with brother Ed driving. Bobby was too young at the time. We all played in the band at CHS. Bill played French Horn, Ed played trombone, and Eugenie played clarinet if I remember right. I used to see him once in a while at his home on W. 22nd Ave. before he sold it and moved out by Wal-Mart and we'd run into each other there. His first comment to me when we met at Wal-Mart was "You have really gained weight." I wish I had known he was at the nursing home on Ochsner Blvd., I would have stopped in to visit him. He was a good guy. Eugenie and Bobby, I am so sorry to hear about Billy's passing.
