Wayne Brendan Cox's Obituary
Wayne Brendan Cox of Mandeville, Louisiana, former resident of both Baton Rouge and New Orleans, was called home by his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at the age of 71.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Charlotte Desobry Cox; his son, Todd Brendan Cox (Suzanne); his daughters, Jennifer Cox Gagliano (Gregory) and Allison Cox Friel (Michael); his brother, A. Bernard Cox; his sister Adrienne Cox Juttner; 8 grandchildren: Cory Brendan, Chad Michael, Connor James, and Callie Jean Cox; Abigail Denise, Joseph Wayne, and Sophia Jeanne Gagliano; and Mary Sabina Friel. He has joined his father Wayne Milton Cox and his mother Louise Curet Cox in eternal peace.
Wayne is a retiree of the LA Dept. of Labor where he was employed for 37 years. He was a board member for the LES Federal Credit Union. Following his retirement, Wayne served on the Board of Review for Unemployment Insurance for 13 years.
Viewing at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433, Thursday, May 20, 2010 6 - 8 PM., and Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1501 W. Causeway Approach, Mandeville, LA 7071, Friday, May 21, 2010 10 AM- noon, followed by a funeral Mass.
Private interment at a later date.
