Cuz, as we called each other, was more like a brother to me in many ways than a cousin. I know he was that close to others as well. We would talk several times a week during football season in reference to the next Southern Ms. game. I will miss those conversations so much. To Katherine,Bobby, and Stefs' family your husband, brother, father and grandfather was gentle, kind and special man.
I will miss Wade in this world, but know he is up there giving Fred Astair some competition on the dance floor! Love, Della
"Wade was a TRUE SOUHTHERN GENTLEMAN," says it so succinctly. He showed his caring by keeping an eye on my mother, which was so appreciate. He enjoyed being with people, enjoyed their companionship, and was a wonderful host...always made me feel welcomed. I'm so glad I got to see him with the "boys" while Southern was playing a game. As someone said, Wade was an elegant man. Catherine,Stefany and others of your family, I'm sure he left you with many beautiful memories to keep close to you and to cherish.
Catherine, I am so sorry for your loss -- I remember Wade as an elegant young man who handled responsibility handsomely, whom I looked up to when I was a kid. (I remember YOU as a great kid, with a lot of your mother's sass. THAT was long ago, huh? but I can picture you so clear.) I'll be thinking of you. Please give my love to Bud and Bob , Jenny, Pat, your dad, and everybody. Best to Bobby, too.
Dick's not doing too well, but David's thriving, so am I.

Catherine, I did not know of Wade's death until I got my Reveille. We started first grade together and had many fun times together. My thoughts are with you. Mary Drake

Mr. Wade was a very special man. He was truly a sweet person. We love you Stefany and family. Love, Meredith, Carolyn and Madison Spencer
Stephanie I'm so sorry to hear about your dad, we were out of town this past weekend and I just found out. You and your family will be in our prayers, and if you need me to do anything let me know....
We are so sorry to hear of Wade's death. He would have loved being in New Orleans yesterday for the ball game. He loved Southern Miss so much. He will always be remembered as a loyal fan. We loved Wade.
