Victor A. Santi's Obituary
Victor A. Santi, PhD, an internationally published and renowned Machiavellian scholar, passed away at his home after a long illness on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at the age of 61.
Beloved husband of Connie Santi. Father of Christina Santi, Anna Bereziuk and Bret Sons and his wife Cyndi Sons. Son of the late Francesca Mordini Santi and John Santi. Grandfather of Zack and Nick Sons.
Dr. Santi was an Italian citizen who resided in the U.S. since childhood, received his bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin and his PhD from UCLA. He was a professor for 26 years and former Chair of the Foreign Languages Department at U.N.O. He was president of the International Machiavelli Society for 19 years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Friday, July 3, 2009 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 with visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to Community Care Hospice, 1007 W. Thomas St., Suite A, Hammond, LA 70401.
