So sad to hear of Velma's passing. Thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. Velma was such a sweet lady who loved to talk about gardening, we often shared plant clippings. I will miss seeing her out walking around the neighborhood, even though she had to use a walker, she didn't miss her walks. She was a good friend, mom and grandmother who will be greatly missed.

Velma was a special auntie. She was a teacher and so was I, partly because of her. We would laugh a lot. She always called me "Baby" even though I was only 9 years younger.
I remember we went on a swamp tour once and afterwards ate alligator.
