Ursula Krebs Baker's Obituary
Ursula Krebs Baker, age 83, of Mandeville, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. She was born on October 26, 1941, in Bad Nauheim, Germany.
She is survived by her children, Deborah Elisabeth Baker (Anthony Bennett), Michelle Baker Jordan (Greg), and Sandra Krebs Baker (Joey Phillips); grandchildren, Elisabeth, Kevin and Michael Roach and Grant, Genevieve, and Garrett Jordan; and many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Ronald James Baker; her parents, Friedrich and Frieda Krebs; and her dear brother, Horst.
As a young woman, Ursula worked as a bookkeeper for Columbia Pictures in Frankfort, Germany. She met her future husband Ron while he was stationed in Friedberg, Germany with the United States Army, and they were married shortly thereafter. They spent the beginning of their marriage in Detroit, Michigan, before relocating to Louisiana over 40 years ago.
Ursula was a long-time resident of The Windsor and, more recently, The Trace. Her family wishes to thank the staff members of both facilities for their attentive care.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Baker may be made to the Jerusalem Shriners, 1940 Ormond Boulevard, Destrehan, LA 70047.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
