Ursula Krebs Baker, age 83, of Mandeville, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. She was born on October 26, 1941, in Bad Nauheim, Germany. She is survived by her children, Deborah Elisabeth Baker (Anthony Benne Read Obituary
Ms. Baker was so kind & sweet when I was her nurse at Tulane clinic then at Southern Pain & Neurological. I retired in November 2020, so I had not seen her in a while, but I still fondly remember my favorite patients & she was one of them. I will keep her & the family in my prayers.

You were the kindest, most caring, most thoughtful person I have ever met. With your strong will and determination you never let your handicap get you down. You were exceptionally brave through the endless years of pain you suffered. You were an inspiration to me all these years since I met you.
Gentle, well mannered, polite, caring for others, helpful and friendly to others and an immense pride in your three daughters and all their family and their achievements.
You will live on in the memory of many people who you had been in contact with for many many years to come.

Always a lovely and classy lady, with a mischievous streak. I would have loved to know her before the stroke. After finding out she was German, I made up a Christmas carol for her: “O tannenbaum, o tannenbaum, sprechen sie Deutsch, Ich bin ein Berliner.” She laughed and rolled her eyes.

The first time Ms. Ursula rolled her eyes at one of the old ladies sitting next to her at lunch, I knew we were going to be great friends! Her beautiful smile and sparkly eyes brightened up the room. She was always positive and happy and gave the best hugs! It was a joy and an honor knowing her. Thank you Debbie, Michelle, and Sandy for sharing your mom with me. Mrs Ursula was “Sandy’s mom” to me and she always treated me like family. She would tell me “I love you” when I visited just the same as Sandy. It was always a joy to see her. She had trust in my life-long friendship with her daughter, my best friend, allowing us to travel, explore, and grow. Mrs Ursula you were one of a kind and you will be missed. I love you too.
