Steven James Johnson passed away peacefully at his home of 44 years in Covington, Louisiana on Monday, June 24, 2024, at the age of 78. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 54 years, Julie Ward Johnson; his 3 children, Steven Ros Read Obituary
I was fortunate to work with Steve all the way back to when his office was in Metairie. We played golf together, lunched regularly and got to socialize with his wonderful wife Julie. He was both an excellent CPA and financial adviser to whom I referred clients because of his expertise. More importantly he was a great family man with a terrific sense of humor. It is always difficult to lose a good friend.

I have been lucky enough to know Steve for over 20 years as one of the OG advisors at HD Vest. He was a true gentleman with keen business sense and one of the kindest hearts I have encountered in the business world or otherwise. He was always generous with his time and counsel, and took great and genuine pleasure in helping other people succeed. He loved his family deeply and cared for his clients as if they were family. Steve's was a life well lived and he has left an indelible positive mark and all the lives he touched over the years. He will be missed but always remembered fondly. Rest in peace old friend.
I grew up with Steve Johnson’s children and have know him all of my life along with his wonderful family. My brother and I had a friendship with his kids which was more of a brotherhood. We were all so close as kids. I cherish all of the wonderful memories of being there with his family at his Beautiful home where we always had a great time. He was always the kindest, and had such a gentle way about him. Nothing but Good good good memories of Mr. Steve. :-) He will be truly missed. He has left an immense Legacy for his family, and of course, the community at large, as his sons have taken over the reigns of his business. He is loved and missed over and over and over. :heart::heart::heart:

I was very blessed to have met Steve Johnson when I was 19 years old. He hired me and taught me everything I needed to know to have a successful work career working with him for 36 years and now with his sons for a total of 42 years. I will always be grateful to him. In the words of Steve Johnson - I have the best damn job in America!!!
Steve was a wonderful man of integrity. His personal care for his clients was exceptional. His sound advice changed my financial position for which I am forever grateful. Besides his trusted financial counsel, I also valued his friendship.
