Simon Clement's Obituary
Simon Clement passed away at his home at the age of 90 on Wednesday, February 20, 2008.
The beloved husband of Mary Yuhasz Clement for 62 years, he is survived by two sons, Denis and Robert Clement; six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Gloria Jean Martin.
Mr. Clement owned and operated Clement Service Station, a gas station and wrecker service, for over 60 years. He served his country during WW II as a paratrooper in the Army’s 82nd Airborne and became an Ordained Minister of Jehovah’s Witness in October of 1985. He faithfully carried on his preaching and teaching about Jehovah’s established Kingdom as the only hope for mankind up to the time of his passing.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Journey Hospice, Washington Health Care and the Covington Food Bank.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 1:00 PM from the chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
A wake is scheduled for Friday, February 22, 2008 from 6-9:00 PM with visiting hours Saturday beginning at 11:00 AM.
Interment will follow services at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington.
