To Sherwood's Family,
Sherwood was one of the first people my wife and I met when we moved across the street from Mrs Ella and the girls. It wasn't long before I knew we met a man of God who was always smiling, singing, and often riding his tractor cutting grass. I enjoyed Sherwood telling me stories of Million Dollar road and giving me the history from his perspective. Whenever I stopped by his place when I saw him outside he enjoyed showing me the latest things he made in his workshop. One of the last things he showed me was a piece of furniture he was working on for his grandson, Hayden. The craftsmanship was excellent like all the work he did and was typical of what he was known for, doing something for someone else.
I know y'all will be hurting for sometime but I also know you believe he is all smiles now as his singing is with the heavenly choir of angels and when not doing that he will be asking St. Peter what can he do to help out. For people of faith, earthly death is not the end but only the transition to the eternal life in the presence of God and a reunion with all his departed loved ones who were there to welcome him home. He will be missed.
