Sally P. McDonald's Obituary
Sarah "Sally" Pelle McDonald passed away Friday, May 10, 2008 at the age of 83. She was the cherished wife of the late Charles Edward McDonald, Jr. Sally was born in Meridian, Mississippi, the oldest child of Wilbur Pelle of Ohio and Janie Meyer of Meridian, Mississippi. Sally was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Wilbur "Biggy" Pelle, Jr., and her daughter Suzanne McDonald Guillot. She is survived by three daughters, Janie McDonald Allen of North Carolina, Sarah Nell Miquet of Slidell, and Dianne Lingl of Florida, along with eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Sally was an entrepreneur and owned a dress shop on Bourbon Street in the 1970's. She was also an accountant for many years until she retired, but did not stop there.She volunteered tirelessly for the Lakeview Hospital in Mandeville where she will be sorely missed. She was a member of the Red Hat Society of North Carolina, and a proud member of the Republican Women's Club. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who treasured her family and lived life as if it were a grand adventure. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial services on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 2:00 PM from E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until service time.
