I was one of the nurses who visited with Rusty during his time at home. We had some good conversations about mutual friends at NOA and growing up in New Orleans. It was a pleasure providing care...he will be missed.
I was one of Mr. Rusty's home health nurses during the last weeks of his life. I enjoyed visiting him and am so sad that he lost his battle. He was always sweet and I think he cared about me as much as I cared about him. He was always so appreciative of the time that I spent with him and I am in turn very appreciative that I got the chance to know him. Thank you, Mrs. Linda for being a great sister and caregiver. It is not very often when a patient truly touches my heart...Rusty and his optimistic fight for his life touched me. I met him on Christmas Eve, admitting to him Home Health. I felt an instant connection to Linda and Rusty. His family and friends are still in my prayers.
I live in Beau Chene and work for Coldwell Banker TEC Realtors. I went out several times with Rusty a few years ago. I thought he was the nicest man. I am origionally from Kosciusko, Mississippi. He said he dated Dean Fair Jackson when he was in college and spent a New Years Eve in Kosciusko. We just lost touch and I was shocked to see his obituary in the paper. My deepest sympathy to his family.
Rusty was a good friend for over 20 years. He was never too busy to help a friend. Rusty had an unusual personality with a fair dose of bullshit and quite a bit of humor. He had a sharp wit and was usually good for a laugh. He will leave a hole in a lot of lives that is not likely to be soon filled. I am glad his suffering is over, but I surely will miss him.
