To the Family and Friends of Mr. Upton Lea:
My prayers are with you for the loss of Upton. I have warm memories of his conversations with me and all the wisdom and experience he shared. May he rest in peace with Marianne and all his loved ones who have gone before him. Peace and Love to you Mr. Rufus Upton Lea, Louis Ogle
Upton was an inspiration to all who met him. He was a storehouse of knowledge on almost every subject and his conversations were filled with his unique wit. Upton made every effort to stay connected to cancer survivors up to his last days. He will be missed in our Friday meditation group and his spirit will be with us always.
I first met Upton at a survivors celebration at Covington High School this past March. I just sat down next to him and we started to talk. I could tell immediately how smart, funny, and wonderful he was. Even though I only knew him for a little while, I could tell he was a very special person.
He will be dearly missed by all of us in Covington.
We are so sorry for your loss, Upton was a good man. He will be in our prayers each and every day, we will have his name added to our church prayer list.
