Rose LaNeil Noble Redd's Obituary
Rose LaNeil Noble Redd passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the age of 88.
She died peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at First Baptist Church of Covington, 16333 Highway 1085, Covington, LA on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 11:00 AM with visitation at the church on Monday beginning at 9:00 AM until service time. Graveside services will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS, at 2:30 PM. In the event of severe weather, a committal service will be held at Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive, Brookhaven, MS.
LaNeil was born in Jackson, MS on June 28, 1930, the daughter of Lamar F. Noble, Sr. and Edith Patrick Noble. She was a graduate of Central High School, Jackson, MS. Her passions in life were to be a loving wife and a dedicated mother.
For the past 15 years, Mrs. Redd was a member of First Baptist Church, Covington, LA, and active in the Lydia Bible Fellowship Class. Before making her home in Mandeville, LA, she was a member of First Baptist Church, Natchez, MS, where she worked as the church secretary for many years. Her strong faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was unwavering to the end.
Mrs. Redd’s interests over the years included sewing, crocheting, cooking, and flower gardening. In later years she enjoyed sewing baby blankets to donate to the Northlake Crisis Pregnancy Center in Covington, LA.
LaNeil was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph E. Redd and son-in-law, Elven Dykes, in addition to her parents, infant sister, Sarah Helen Noble, brother, Pat Noble and sister, Mary Edith Noble Posey.
Mrs. Redd is survived by her children: Judy Robertson (Paul), David Redd (Carol), Lucy Dykes and Gayle Humenansky; grandchildren: Chad Robertson (Cathy), Charise R. Wilson (Bruce), Alister Humenansky (Lauren), and Penelope H. Marceaux (Aarien); great-grandchildren: Camryn, Caleb and Conner Robertson, Abigail Wilson and Addilyn Humenansky. Mrs. Redd is also survived by step-grandchildren: Kevin Dykes, the late Tracy D. Volante (Kenny), Melanie D. White (Shelby), George Forbes (Stephanie) and their families.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Mrs. LaNeil Redd to the Building Fund at First Baptist Church, 16333 Highway 1085, Covington, LA 70433.
