Ronald Anthony Henry's Obituary
Ronald A. “Coach” Henry passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2008 after a long and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 67.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy Jean Patin Henry. Survived by son Brad Henry and daughter Lori Magee and husband Wesley and grandchildren James, Heather, Abbie, Anna and Emily Magee. Also survived by sisters Mary Smith of Bryan, TX; Winnie Heinz and husband Greg of Mandeville, LA; Mary “Lu Lu” Trejo and husband Johnny of Houston, TX; Bess Larkin of Plano, TX, brother-in-law of Cleve Patin of Clinton, LA and sister-in-law Yvonne Henry of Hammond, LA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by brothers Marshall Henry and Michael Henry, parents Marshall and Lydia Henry and sister-in-law Vangie Patin.
A native of Port Allen, LA and a resident of Covington, LA for the past 36 years.
He was a teacher and coach at St. Paul’s High School; past president of St. Paul’s Athletic Assn; member of the Knights of Columbus; Lions Club; Mardi Gras Krewe of Covington; and president of TKE, national fraternity. He was a faithful Eucharistic Adoration adorer and parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Monday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 and again on Tuesday, AT THE CHURCH, from 9:30 AM until service time. Interment in Roselawn Cemetery, Baton Rouge, LA.
In lieu of flowers, the family request Masses or donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
