Andy was the first person I met when I moved to Georgia to attend UGA. We both lived in Milledge Hall and had different roommates, but after a few days we became great friends, changed roommates and pledged the same fraternity. When Andy left UGA, we kept in touch sporadically and usually because Andy was checking in on me (life takes people in different directions unfortunately). Over the past 10 years we stayed in closer contact (I guess as our kids grew older) and I always appreciated our friendship. Andy was a kind and caring person and he will be missed by many. Rest in peace my friend and wish we could have spent more time together.
Andy and i were Kappa Sig fraternity brothers. Always a good dude with a positive outlook. Bit of an outlier because he was a fan of Georgia, Auburn and Illinois! So glad we reconnected in recent years in New Orleans! Praying for peace for the family!
Andy was a colleague of mine. I first met him in 2001 in the Baroid mud lab down in Fourchon, La. He was a mentor then and I am sure that he has mentored a lot of other people throughout his career at Baroid. He was not only a colleague but a good friend. He will be definitely missed. GOD SPEED Andy...
Condolences to his daughters and family.
I met Andy while attending school at U of I. We were sort of odd ducks - he was attending school on the GI Bill so he was a tad older than our classmates. I was the mom of 3 young children - not the average junior. Unusual that we struck up this unlikelyifong friendship. Andy loved his 3 daughters - they were his crowning glory. I would take notes so, at times, he would skip class. Our classmates would chant "send a search party for Sargeant Reese!" Andy will be so missed - I had no idea that he was sick. Although his life was way too short, he was loved greatly.
