Bob,
I so well remember your mischevious smile and perpetual good humor. You were Paul Newman cool and smooth; a fine teacher, coach and role model who motivated a shy, awkward boy to do and be more than he thought he could. You showed that quality and style don't depend upon how much you earn or how expensive are the clothes you wear or the car you drive (that old Studebaker was a real classic); your taste in women was impeccable (what a beautiful creature was Charlene Ruffino(?)) and indelibly informed my own. Thank you for being an unforgetable influence on my life. May God bless and keep you. Enjoy your reward!

Col Bob Guidry was a great person to be associated with in the 159th TFG. From weekend warrior duties to inspections and deployments, he was professional and had a sense of humor, which helped get us through many long hours of duty. It was pleasure to work with and know Bob. Condolences to the Guidry family. :flag-us:
I served in the medical unit of the 159th Fighter Group, Louisiana Air National Guard during Col Guidrys' service and was always happy to see him whenever he was at the unit. His experience in medical equipment and supplies was beneficial to us, however his sense of humor and past experiences was always anticipated by us to brighten our day. I will miss seeing him at our LAANG Retirees' Assoc.
Very nice Fellow. sorry for your loss.
Daddy, I cannot believe you are gone. However, I am so thankful you are no longer suffering. I love you so much and there are so many memories…where do I even begin? You were such a wonderful daddy, friend and protector. You were so intelligent and you gave me my love of nature, science and history. I remember being little and sitting on your lap on the front porch on Kenmore Drive and watching heat lightning in the distance. To this day, I still go out on my front porch during lightning storms (safely, of course) and watch with childlike wonder at the majesty and awesomeness of God’s creation. I love you ❤️
