Dear ones-- I am Stevie Breve and my husband Nelson and I lived across the street from Bobby for about 5 years. We will miss his smiling face and his friendly wave and the fact that we KNEW he would always be there sitting on the porch, being the "watchdog" of the neighborhood. I always thought it was so neat that he and his friends enjoyed sitting on the porch, chatting, drinking, and "solving the problems of the world". Today, in our fast paced existence, it was nice to see him and his friends relaxing and ENJOYING life. I am sorry I could not make it to the funeral with Nelson, nor the party afterwards, but I wanted to let you know how I will ALWAYS remember Bobby and his wonderful ways. Much sympathy-- Stevie Breve
My daughters told me you did a wonderful job in such a short time. I will be in LA. the 14th and won't go home 'til Dec. 26th, so hope I see you. I knew Bobby since 1978 and "what a guy"! The slide show reminded me of when he was younger - very nice. Lafitte st. won't be the same. I will miss our many conversations on his front porch & doing art pieces with him. He was always ready to help & was a great model for Billy when he lived with me.
Michele, I am sorry for the lost of your dad. We really had alot of great times with you and your dad at the lake. I am sorry that I could not make the services across the lake. I could not get off work. I hope to see you again soon. Ralph and I share many great memories of fishing on the lakefront and visiting Bobby.He was a joy to be around and would always take the time to swap fishin stories. he will be missed so much. But now he's fishin with the best. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all. Lots of love to you .
