Phyllis Melcher Osburn's Obituary
Phyllis Melcher Osburn, a loving and devoted wife, mother, and friend, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015 surrounded by her family at home in Madisonville, LA. She was the wife of the late William F. Osburn, mother of Kelly O. Borne (Jay), Mary Ann Osburn, and David M. Osburn (Sheila). She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Boynes Melcher and Ernest Clay Melcher. Phyllis was the sister of the late Ernest Melcher and Ramon Melcher.
Phyllis was born in New Orleans and lived most of her life in Chalmette, LA. After Hurricane Katrina, she relocated to Madisonville, LA with her daughter. Phyllis was a porcelain artist and parishioner of St. Anselm Catholic Church. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and pets.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 10:00 AM until service time.
