I first met Mrs phyllis and Mary for Hurricane Katrina when a mutual friend Curtis called me and said, He had some friends stuck in a school in Gretna, La. Following the aftermath of the hurricane. My police unit was taken by water, so i went in my truck to the school. I circled the block and there she was, mrs Phyllis poking her head out the second floor window. She and Mary ran to the truck, they looked rough and i later learned they swam out of Chalmette. I took them to my home for a hot shower and boiled shrimp. My camper had air conditioner so they had a good night sleep. Days later I got permission and another police car to bring Phyllis and Mary to Madisonville, La. to reunite with her son. Upon our arrival, the son came from a neighbors home and the tears were flowing, i had to leave in a hurry as I overwelmed with joy. I knew then, i had friends for life. Mrs Phyllis always said I was her hero, but she and Mary were the true Heros. I was very upset to get the call from Mary of her passing, but God our creator just gained a true Angel. Bless the Osburn family, im sure she is shining upon all her friends and family......Scotty-Avondale, La.
