Patricia Anne Festervand's Obituary
Patricia Festervand passed away on Friday, February 20, 2009. She was born January 15, 1937 in Shreveport, LA to the late Walter Cook and Annie Fletcher Spivey and has been a resident of Covington since 1974.
The beloved wife of Timothy M. Festervand, she is survived by one son, Timothy M., Jr.; three daughters: Leigh Anne Kitchin, Pamela Denise Festervand and Dr. Laura Annette Hunter; her brother, Walter C. Spivey, Jr. and four grandchildren: Jessica Rose and Steven Festervand Kitchin, Conner James and Christian Garrett Hunter. She was preceded in death by her brother, Henry Tarver Spivey.
Patricia met and fell in love with her husband in 1952 while still in high school in Shreveport. Married for 52 years, they were by one another’s side every step of the way. Both were members of the Shreveport Symphony from 1955-59 and working together have designed over 1500 homes in this community and surrounding areas over the past 30 years. Before moving to the Northshore, she became very active in Girl Scouts of America eventually serving as a leader, director and trainer. She was also a member of the Louisiana Society of the American Institute of Building Design.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services on Sunday, February 22, 2009 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours will begin Sunday at 1:00 PM.
Interment will follow the services at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington.
