Oh, how tragic!
This is a hard reality to swallow. I’ll always remember her smile and how her eyes closed some as she smiled…and, her face and body language when she was surprised.
I’ve known her since she ran the Louisiana Crafts Council Gallery. I also served on that board with her and others in the late 80s-early 90s.
We ran into each other over the years in Covington…it was always good to see her and catch up with her.
She will be missed, but remembered. ❤️

I became friends with Nancy when my husband worked with her at Hobby Lobby in the frame Department. In the short 2 years that I've known her she grew to be a loving trusted friend. She lived down the street from us on Jahncke Ave, and no matter what time of morning or night as she passed our house she would always double honk and my husband would say, there goes Nancy!!! Nancy invited us last April to her birthday gathering at her sister Peggy's condo on the beach, which is when we met Peggy and husband Joe,friends Paulo and Jo, and her sister Jackie. Little did we know this would be her last birthday. We miss her so much and have faith that she is again with her mom and dad and those who went before her

Jacque and Peggy, I am saddened to hear that Nancy passed away. She was a wonderful person and talented artist and a dear friend to me when she lived in Baton Rouge. I have many fond memories of the times we spent together.....and many of them included your mom, Madge. Whether at a Baton Rouge Gallery function, Glass group gathering or party on Zeeland, we always had fun and made lasting memories. May the warmth that was Nancy wash over you and comfort you during this difficult time of loss.

My friend Nancy and I had became family over the past 10 years. Every holiday she was spending at home I would bring over food for dinner and we would spend that time together and just talk and laugh. When I would walk in to see her she would greet me with hey puppy, which would make me smile every time. She was always the light in a room with her amazing humor. She taught me about art and interior design which turned me on a path to pursue a career of interior design. I will be forever thankful for the time she invested in me by teaching me her knowledge. I am attaching a picture of Nancy, Ann, Rachelle, Pam, and I from when we worked together at Kirklands.
