Nancy Hickerson Koester passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024. She was born in Godfrey, IL on July 2, 1936. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Donald Raymond Koester; her children, Jon D. Koester and his children Z Read Obituary

When I think about Nancy, the word Goodness immediately comes to mind - pure, unfiltered Goodness. This attribute is not earned. It is not a matter of living right, having the proper education, or possessing extreme problem-solving ability. Adjectives like kind, generous, reliable, virtuous, admirable, and generous suddenly emerge, and these attributes certainly describe Nancy. However, Goodness is not just a matter of treating people well or engaging in philanthropic activities. It is not simply a matter of head or hands - Goodness is a gift from God found in a person’s heart. Nancy didn’t just possess this gift - she WAS this gift. She was a blessing sent by God to make this world a better place, and I thank God for the privilege of having known her.😇✝️️
