My dearest Jill and Barb, Lindsay & Heather, Mimi was amazing and such an inspiring lady. From the big stories and tea time and countless Pigglywiggly shrimp poboys, I always enjoyed hanging on her porch when you guys invited me over to the Northshore. She seemed to have a way with fitting so many things on the dinner table and had a variety of snack offerings. A few months ago she pulled out her lab results from the doctor because she knows I’m a nurse and says, “Look Ashley, they told me to don’t stop anything I’m doing” with the biggest grin. Hostest with the mostest- my heart is so deeply saddened of this news but all the memories and tea-times spent have been the biggest gift of all.

Barbara and family, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Your Mom sure was a great lady. She got to meet us at my house some years ago. It was a great time on our patio and my Mom was so happy to meet her! I'll always remember Mom telling me to serve you the "spicy" pork we had gotten in Philly but cautioned your Mom "be careful, it's pretty darn hot!" Meanwhile your Mom tastes it saying "oh NOOO this is not hot at all!" Mom was shocked (as was I) except I then reminded Mom, "these folks are from New Orleans!" We got a good laugh on that one. You have all my prayerful support.
