Milda Sanchez Richbourg's Obituary
Milda “Molly” Sanchez Richbourg of Covington, LA passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018. She was born on February 22, 1927 in White Castle, LA to Albert Joseph Sanchez and Alice Marie Raffray Sanchez.
Molly is survived by her children Sharon Joffrion Snyder and her husband Thomas “Butch” Snyder, Jeffery P. Joffrion, Sr. and his wife Laure Desroche Joffrion, and Paulette Richbourg Mitchell and her husband Stuart Mitchell; her nine grandchildren Tammy Snyder, Tommy Snyder (Tammy Balser Snyder), Jeffrey Joffrion, Jr. (Kathy Schexnayder Joffrion), Leland Joffrion (Candice Hoover Joffrion), Lindsay Mitchell, Madison Mitchell, Michelle Morales, Caity Desroche (Travis), Melissa Desroche; her great-grandchildren Kayla Joffrion Smith (Eric Smith), Jeffery “Trey” Joffrion, III, Jack Joffrion, Ellie Joffrion, Chase Tucker, Claire Tucker, Benjamin Balsar, Cameron Balsar, and Brittney Balsar; and three great-great-grandchildren Christopher Copen Smith, Riley Gunter, and Mason Gunter. She is also survived by her brothers Louis Sanchez and Kenneth “Zeke” Sanchez and hundreds of cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Molly is preceded in death by her husband Leland Edward Richbourg, her parents and her siblings Herbert Joseph Sanchez, Irvin Joseph Sanchez, Dudley Joseph Sanchez, Hilda Josephine Sanchez, Shelby Joseph Sanchez, Chilton Joseph Sanchez, Harry Joseph Sanchez, Guerdy Sanchez, Verda Marie Sanchez, Vernese Philomene Sanchez, Lawrence Joseph Sanchez, Elnora Margaret Sanchez, Delta Margaret Sanchez, Mildred T. Sanchez, and Clifton Joseph Sanchez.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff at Forest Manor for their efforts to care for Milda “Molly” Richbourg was such patience and kindness, especially her nurse Caity Desrohe and all the staff on the 300 and 400 halls. We would also like to thank Ginger Acosta for being mom’s sitter and friend.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM with visitation on Friday beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow the services in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Covington, LA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Masses to be said in memory of Mrs. Richbourg.
