I was one of the happy beneficiaries of Mickie's professional skills and cheerful spirits, when she worked at Loyola. As a faculty member, who often had to deal with the administration, I could always count on her attention to what was needed and her skill in making things happen. To her family and good friends: know how many people Mickie touched and what a difference she made for people like me! My deepest condolences--
I met Mickie at SJA and have remained friends all these years having moved near her after Katrina. We did many things together over the past 20 years until recently with her health problems. I visited her a few months ago and she was making the best of her situation but not giving up. She is now in a better place and pain free.
