Michael "Pepper" John Tassin's Obituary
Michael “Pepper” John Tassin age 70, of Franklinton, entered eternal rest on Saturday morning, January 22, 2022 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on June 22, 1951 to Preston Tassin Sr. and Winnie Boudreaux Tassin.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Frances McAcy Tassin of 7 years, was the loving father to Jason Edwin Tassin (Maureen), Justin Michael Tassin (Sherry), LèAngel Beason (Michael), Jonathan Marse Sr. (Ashley), and Kathryn Reichert (Scotty). He was the proud grandfather of Emily Vaida Tassin, Bryson Husser, Bella Tassin, Jonathan Marse Jr., Emily Marse, Lauren Reichert, Austin Marse, Addison Reichert, Mikayla Beason, Meagan Beason. Michael was the sibling of Preston Tassin Jr. (Barbara), Robert "Bobby" Tassin (Karen), Genevieve "Jenny" Reine (Gilbert) and Karen Reine (Ted).
Michael is preceded in death by his first adoring wife, Ouita Clements Tassin, and his parents, Preston and Winnie Tassin.
Michael “Pepper” John Tassin was a business owner and operator for many years in Westwego, Louisiana. He was a hard worker who was well respected, and began working with his father at a young age.
To most, Michael was known as a lifetime fisherman, but he was also a fisher of men. He always ministered to his fellow man and was greatly involved in his church community. Michael taught many bible studies and many Sunday School lessons. He was a youth leader that led many active ministers into their ministry today and was a lifelong servant to those that were his Pastor. Michael was a family man who loved greatly, was a friend to all and could strike a conversation with anyone. Michael had a strong love for nature and enjoyed the outdoors at every chance he had. He will be greatly missed by his wife, children and grandchildren, which he adored.

Relatives and friends are invited to an Evening Visitation on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at The Pentecostals of Loranger, 20155 Milk Plant Road, Loranger, Louisiana from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 28, 2022 at The Pentecostals of Loranger Church, 20155 Milk Plant Road, Loranger, Louisiana 70446 with visitation from 9:00 AM until service time.
Interment will follow the service at The Pentecostals of Lee Road, 17700 Highway 40, Covington, Louisiana 70435.
