I have many fond memories of spending time at their house when I was a kid. Great man.
My deepest sympathy for the lost of another great friend. We had great times growing up in Westwego as kids, and younger adults. I will never forget the house parties, concerts and all the crazy other things we did. Even though we haven't seen much of one another in some time it was like we saw you just yesterday. We love you and will miss you, may God bless you. Tell Tee Dee hello for me and all our great friends that have gone before. Allen Parks
It is with Much sorrow to hear of my dear friend's passing.
I grew up with Mike in Westwego and as friends we shared a lot of great times and memories. I met Mike as a young boy working with my dad on his shrimp boat. Mike's dad had a camp on what is called Bay Ronquille near Four Bayou Pass on the edge of the Gulf of Mexico. We would occasionally stop or anchor near there, my dad and his dad knew each other. We would pick some oysters along Oyster bayou, my dad and his dad would chat. After my stint in the Army, he and my cousin Al had become close friends and we would all hung around together, Al, Ramon, Sidney, myself and Mike as well as some other friends. We would all go out together, if I didn't have a way or wheels, Mike would come to my house and pick me up. He loved my parents and they thought well of him. He would sometimes come to Sunday dinner, as my mom and dad usually had seafood or wild game dishes and Mike loved that.
We would all go out together, Mike was the driver unless one of us had wheels or we would ride with Mike. We'd go to Tee Lee's in Raceland, College Inn in Thibedeaux, Oncales in Vacherie among other local places. We had great times, Mike was gentle, kindhearted and sometimes one of would get into a fight, Mike would be the referee or peacemaker but always a friend. There's not enough space here for all of it. I could write a book about our experiences and we actually lived through them all.
I'm saddened that we didn't stay close but sometimes God has a different path for us and we have to go separate ways, I guess it's for our own good as I can tell the last few times we saw each other I could tell Mike was happy and content, it was a great feeling just to see him doing well. May God bless him and receive him in the gates of heaven, He's well deserving lord.
Please accept my deepest condolences and we will keep him in our prayers.
Kindest Regards

There are so many memories of Pepper to share. Some fond memories are his amazement of the Royal Farms convenience store/gas station in DE that we stopped at on our way to Justin's Coast Guard graduation ceremony in Cape May, NJ. He'd never seen anything quite like it. His love for God and all that God had done for him. Pepper was always telling someone his testimony, trying to feed you or fix you something more to eat. You knew you always had a friend in Pepper. Pepper always had stories to tell and I loved hearing them when we'd visit. He loved his family. Rest easy, Friend. You've walked your last mile. Praying for us all in our loss of this great man. Theresa/Tom Peoples
