To Mike's family,
I just received the news. While I didn't know him on a personal level, I am an attorney and used to see him frequently in court. He consistently took the time to answer my questions (of which I had many). He was a kind man and always had a smile on his face. Each time I arrived to court in a bad mood, I would leave smiling after seeing Mike. I am extremely sorry for your loss and you will be in my prayers.
My dearest Ruby, I am sadden by the late news about Mike. What a gentle man he was.. I loved him very much as we were a close group in the early days.... Never a day have I seen him without that wonderful smile.....I know your heartbroken.. That man loved you... Blessings in that.... My deepest sorrow for you and Michael Jr.. Although I didn't get to see Mike very often, every time I did it felt as comfortable as old friends. Mike made you feel special, included and grateful for family. When I think of my extended family, the ones I grew up with, that had such a big impact on my life, Mike and Ruby are always there. I’m saddened by the loss of Mike but grateful to have had the chance to know him.
Mike was such an amazing person!!! I got the chance to work with him at the DAs office and enjoyed his contagious smile!

As you know, Mike was a mountain of a man. Although we haven't talked for a while, I knew if I called he would be there ready and willing to help, if I needed it. He was like a brother to me. But, I need you to know, that you both made a difference in my life.
