Megan Elizabeth Penny's Obituary
Megan Elizabeth Penny passed away at home on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. A native of Tupelo, MS, she was born on Christmas Day, 1999 and moved to Covington, LA in 2001. She was forever an optimist and a leader that led by example. She was a penetrating presence entering a room. With her came hope and the ability to inspire courage and contentment with that contagious smile. She was a gifted athlete having lettered in Varsity Softball at Fontainebleau High School as a Freshman and a Sophomore.
The beloved daughter of Jennifer Paulette and J. Edward "Eddie" Penny, she is survived by her sister - Kelsey Grace Penny; one brother - Dalton Joseph Penny; her grandparents - Pamela Pryor Clement and Steve Gray, Darryl and Jenniffer Paulette, James Penny and Paula Gallo; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at 4:00 PM on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours on Sunday will begin at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to benefit the Girls Varsity Softball Team at Fontainebleau High School through the Lady Dawgs Diamond Club.
