Maurice Manning Houk

Maurice and family were good next door neighbors of my parents. Years ago when my father was hotstamping the football football key tags, a novelty to sell to businesses with their ad on one side and the schedule of the team of their choice in the other. Maurice took an interest in it. My dad helped him get started in the business. Maurice was a quick study and he took off with the business. He would regularly grade the road with his tractor since that road was a private road. He kept it in good shape. He had many interests, like pottery, art, etc. and shared his creations with the neighbors. He was a good neighbor, something we should all strive to be. We miss you, Maurice!
