Mary Lou Lacoste's Obituary
Mary Louise (Mary Lou) Habisreitinger Lacoste passed away peacefully on February 16, 2021 surrounded by her family. Mary Lou was born on December 4, 1928 in New Orleans to John Baptiste Habisreitinger and Marguerite (Rita) Ernst Habisreitinger.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Charles (Mickey) Albert Lacoste and her brother John Blaise Habisreitinger, Sr. Mary Lou grew up in Metairie and lived the past 22 years in Mandeville where she was a member of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Mount Carmel Academy and Soule Business College.
Mary Lou is survived by her two children, Laurie Lacoste Becker (Dave) and Kenneth (Kenny) Charles Lacoste (Kathy), her three grandchildren, Allyson Lacoste, Andrew Lacoste, and William Becker (Stefani) and great, grandchildren Wyhatt and Elizabeth, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to thank Ann Dupont, Jackie Williams, and Katie James for their compassionate care, along with the staff of Passages Hospice
On Saturday, February 27, 2021 there will be visitation from 10am to 11am at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mandeville with a Mass following. There will be a private burial. With COVID-19, restrictions social distancing and face mask are required to attend services.
