Marvin Richard Amacker's Obituary
Marvin Richard Amacker was born in Poplarville, MS on November 17, 1919, and passed away in his sleep and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 9, 2009.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elena Gonzales Amacker; his parents, Clara and Forrest Amacker; a sister, Wilda Amacker; and two brothers, Earl Amacker and Forrest Amacker, Jr. He is survived by one brother, Homer J. Amacker and wife Helen of Bogalusa, LA; and two sisters, Louise McClung of Jacksonnville, FL and Carrine and husband Max Turnipseed of Baton Rouge, LA; nieces and nephews, Linda Hardee, Dr. Kemp Amacker, Charles Amacker, Michael Amacker, Becky DeGeorge, Billy Amacker, Keith Amacker, Craig Amacker, Scott Amacker, Brian Amacker, Jan Waters, Bill Bailey, Brenda Schexnayder,Susan Barrow and Al Kachler.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 with visitation on Saturday beginning at 11:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Theodore Dendinger Cemetery.
Memorials in Mr. Amacker’s name may be made to North Cross United Methodist Church.
