Dear Sheriff and Hammon family,
Although I never had the privileged to meet Martie she was my 3rd cousin. I've been searching for the family and having such a difficult time finding you. I'm so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful woman as Martie.
Currently, I'm writing the a family history book that includes the Hammon > Sheriff > Smith > Anderson > ABEL families. I'd love to include you all in the new book.

Mrs. Martha..my sweet friend..I just saw where she had passed..makes my heart sad, but now she is playing music for the Angels and smiling her sweet smile..she very special Lady to me....
Dear Ted, David and Laura,
Martha was the sister I always wanted. She was a junior bridesmaid in our wedding and that was the beginning of many years full of wonderful memories. One of my favorite memories was dressing up with fancy clothes, hats, gloves and champagne glasses to watch Princess Di and Prince Charles’ wedding in the middle of the night. We had special chairs in the middle of the room pretending we were there. Burt and Gene got up just to enjoy watching us as we enjoyed the wedding.
Martha's prayers were answered, and she is in the arms of the Lord. I know that we will meet again.

Ms. Martie was one of most kindest, gentlest souls I have ever known. She was an exceptionally good pianist who always remembered my favorite song, Stardust, and would play it for me while she was at Rouquette Lodge. I spoke with her at Forest Manor on a few occasions and she remained that sweet person we knew. She will be missed. My condolences to Laura and the rest of her family. Rest in peace, Ms. Martie.
