Mario Salvadore Arthur, Sr., on Monday, Sept. 18, 2006. A graduate of LSU in Criminal Justice. Retired from the Navy in 1968. He was the former Police Chief of Mandeville from 1967-1969, retired Chief of Detectives with the St. Read Obituary
Ms.Pat, I am so sorry for your loss, I worked with Mario at the DA's Office, he always made me smile. He will be greatly missed.
Miss Pat, Margie, Patty, and Mario jr., Karen and I are sorry for your loss and we will always remember Mario. This is Sandi Edwards, from the Sheriff's Office. Mario was one of the very first people I met when I first went to work at the S.O. There are so many moments to remember. Scottie gave me the nickname "Blackie", and Mario had this nickname..we always laughed at this, and Mario called me "BLACK". The last time I saw Mario, he was still calling me this !
Mario was a wonderful, husband, father, Police Officer, and a friend to all. He will be so sadly missed. My love and sympathy goes out to each of you.

I am so sorry for your loss. I used to work with Mario at the DA's office and he always brightened everyone he came in contact with's day. He will be greatly missed.
