I will remember my cousin Lorrie the most for her wonderful imagination. She would bring me Babar, King of the Elephants books and memorabilia. We would spend hours dressing Babar and Celeste up and having tea parties with them. She loved bringing us to museums, and say, "Let's go be bad today". We were always off having an adventure with her, my siblings and I. I had trouble with reading and she would work with me and give me assignments for the next time I saw her. Of course, Babar books were a fun reading assignment. She dedicated much of her time teaching adult literacy classes and I always admired her. She will be missed. I am so sorry Mary Anne and Kevin.

Deepest condolences to the family. I met Ms. Lorraine while picking her up from work to take her home. She was a wealth of information, and we had many good conversations while on the bus. Ms. Lorraine taught me a lot about flowers and I take all of the knowledge she has given me in my daily life. She will be greatly missed.
I went to grade school with Mary Anne Abela. I wonder if she is Lorraine's sister? I would love to be in touch.
My heart is broken. Lorrie was a loving light in my life. She and I used to go to the best toy store when I was a child called Animal Crackers. It was there that she and Tia bought me my Tigger that is still hidden in my closet. "In a world full of Eyores, you're a Tigger, Kelly," she used to say to me. Their house always seemed magical. She would bake while Mary Anne, Tia and me would be hooting and acting silly during cutthroat games of Rummy 500. To this day, I can still close my eyes and smell her cream cheese brownies baking. We shared a love of books and new recipes. I will miss her greatly.
