After a giving and selfless life as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and retired St. Tammany Parish teacher, Lois Evarkiou Zeller passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 16, 2024. She was a radiant spirit for Read Obituary
Remembering Lois as my last link to the faculty at Bamberg American El. School. We became friends in 1963 in Germany and have “kept in touch” ever since. I will always remember her as a vivacious and fun loving person with that “radiant” smile. I will miss her friendship immensely especially reminiscing about our shared experiences teaching and traveling in Europe with other friends and faculty. Someone is never truly gone until you stop remembering them!
So sorry to learn of the demise of Lois. I sent her a birthday card but had a serious fall right after that on my way to Chapel. It took five weeks to heal and I am so sorry that I did not reach out to Lois when I did not hear from her.
No one could ever take Lois' place, she was truly one of a kind. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to her family, such a loss.
