Linda Douglas Nunez's Obituary
Linda Douglas Nunez passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016. Age 75, she was born in New Orleans, LA to Marvell Agatha Tucker and Daniel Curtis Douglas, Sr. and was a long time resident of Chalmette, LA. A graduate of Nicholls High School, she taught special needs children and later retired from the St. Bernard Parish School Board before moving to Covington, LA in 2006. Linda was an active member of Ochsner’s GO (Golden Opportunities) program
The beloved wife of the late Edwin A. Nunez, Jr., she is survived by two sons - Brian Edwin Nunez (Michele) and Darren Douglas Nunez; one sister - Judy Douglas Ricks (Charles “Rusty”); two brothers - Donald Douglas (Lorraine) and Daniel Douglas, Jr. (Lynda); six grandchildren - Brian E. Nunez, Jr., Tori N. O'Hara (Patrick) and Mary Breazeale Robin (Chris), Ross, Laura and Ethan Nunez; and nine great grandchildren - Daria, Nathaniel and Kael, Camryn, Caitlyn and Collin, Aubry, Lainey and Harper. Her parents preceded her in death.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 501 Holy Trinity Drive Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours at the church on Wednesday will begin at 10:00 AM.
Interment at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens in Chalmette, LA will immediately follow mass.
