Linda Douglas Nunez passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016. Age 75, she was born in New Orleans, LA to Marvell Agatha Tucker and Daniel Curtis Douglas, Sr. and was a long time resident of Chalmette, LA. A graduate of Nicholls Hig Read Obituary
I met Linda at Christwood Community Center. Over the last 2 years, we became friends as we did "water class" together and learned about each other's families and lives. I hope it is a comfort to her sons and grandchildren to know how proud she was of you all and how much she truly loved you all. She spoke of you all often and lovingly. As her son said today at her funeral, she was a happy person and always had a smile for everyone. She didn't want anyone to feel sorry for her or for her to be a burden on anyone. A truly gracious lady, Linda always ended our time together with "It was a pleasure" or "Always a pleasure to see you". It was my pleasure to call her a friend and I will miss her dearly until heaven.
Thoughts of Linda
Linda has always been a very special person in our family. She was Susan's God Mother but Steve and David also called her Nanan, the three of them never called her by any other name.
Linda was my first cousin, but more like a sister, a dearest friend, and a confidant all wrapped into one! Linda and I shared so many wonderful times and memories together. Linda was always there for me, but the most recent time was when I was moving back to Slidell. Linda and I would go apartment hunting and have lunch, as I thanked her she always said, "it was my pleasure" such as gracious person. Linda possessed so much kindness and generosity.
Linda and I shared much laughter, tears, pain and sorrow, but our greatest joys were from our husbands, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Linda's joy was her love of her entire family, as you all know.
I could go on and on about Linda, but I will close with this. Something Linda said so many times was "you reap what you sow". Linda sowed abundantly and will reap the many blessings The Lord has in store for her.

Aunt Linda is one of my all-time favorite aunts. She was always kind. She spoke her mind, which is one of the things I really respected her for. I miss the Christmas gatherings at Uncle Eddie and Aunt Linda's house of my youth. Years go by in between contact, but the memories endure. I love you Aunt Linda!
I am saddened by the lost of this lovely woman so soon. She was such a wonderful, caring person. We spent time together during Golden Opportunity events and I enjoyed her company. She will be missed by all that knew her. May God comfort her family and may Linda RIP.
She was such a sweet and calm woman. One of the few good things that came from hurricane Katrina was that I got to spend a couple of days with her while she had evacuated to Alabama with my mom. It was nice to hear some of her stories of the good old days. Thinking of all of you.
