There are no spoken words of condolence that can describe my sorrow or take away the grief of the loss of such a wonderful and loving person. Nana has been so dear to me, since I was a child and the fond memories of her will live on in all our hearts forever. She always treated me with love and respect and never let me out of her presence without telling me how much she loved and missed me. To Merry, Pat, Gail, all the kids, family and her many friends. Please accept mine, Starlet and Sammie's most humble sympathy for the loss of such a truly great person from our lives. I do feel blessed and honored to have known her, she will be dearly missed. To all, your in our thoughts and prayers and though we could not be there your sorrow is shared from far away.

A. Lurlene always had a smile for everyone. Her love of God and family was like a light shining in the darkness. We all will miss her sweet spirit, but will rejoice when we see her again.

I will always remember she made the best biscuits I have ever tasted and I haven't had any to this day that could beat hers!! I also remember having my first and only stewed squirrel at her house! The gravy was delicious over her "biscuits"! I spent many wonderful times at her house on McDowell Road. She never had a harsh word and was so kind. I will miss her tremendously!!
