Laura Shirlean Jenkins, of Bush, Louisiana, passed away last Thursday. She is survived by her children, Cline Jenkins, DeAnn Jenkins and Douglas Jenkins; grandchildren, Paige Thompson and Tiffany Jenkins and a great-grandchild, A Read Obituary
I would take Shirlean to the doctor then we would have a picnic in the parking lot of the grocery store where afterwards I would go get her groceries while she sat in the car and people watched. We would spend most of the day together the adventures we would take when there was traffic. We would always take a back road. She loved when I took a back road. She never knew where she was but she knew she’d get to where we were going eventually she was a very special lady. I will surely miss her. Shirlean is now in heaven rest in peace, my friend till we meet again.

Wow this just came to me from a family member, omg not many will no me but she was my school bus driver for many years, we both had a special bond for each other , so many talks , I was the student that opened the door to let the children on and off , so many years ago , I my self became a school bus driver from her inspiration of loving her job , I left bush 43 years ago but often thought of her , wow my heart is broken I loved her very much , prayers for the family, I’ll never forget her ! David and I are so so sorry for the grief you all are going through. Shirlean was such a bright light to all who knew and loved her. I can just imagine the joy in heaven with Shirlean, Howard, Ann and Ray having a beer and catching up on life down here. We love you all.
