Larry Joseph Rhodes' Obituary
Larry Joseph Rhodes passed away peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2025 in Covington, LA. He was 77. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton J. Rhodes and Estelle Chaisson Rhodes, and his brother, Ronald Anthony Rhodes, Sr.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Elizabeth Bennett Rhodes, his daughter, Mary Frances Brewer, and his sister, Sue R. Stafford (Pat) and also survived by many nieces and nephews. Larry worked for himself for many years as an Auto Body and repairman before going to work for Girard Chevrolet and later as an appraiser with Contemporary Automotive. He was a native of Houma, LA and was a resident of Hammond, LA for the last 21 years. He was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond, LA and a member of Knights of Columbus, John F. Kennedy Council 2952 and a member of the American Legion Post 156.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, August 18, 2025 at 10:30 am at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 600 N. Oak Street, Hammond, LA and the visitation will begin at 9:00 am until service time. Burial with military honors will follow in Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Drive, Slidell, LA. for 12:30 pm.
