Genevieve Krizek Calvin's Obituary
Genevieve “Genny” Krizek Calvin passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at the age of 79.
Beloved wife of Lester A. Calvin; Devoted mother of Les Calvin Jr.; Beloved mother-in-law of Magdalena Calvin and Carolyn V. Calvin and Rosemary H. Bell; Grandmother of Les Calvin III, Christopher Gorham Calvin, Wendy Leona Arch, Fred D. Arch and Neva Silva; daughter of the late Ida and Louis Krizek; sister-in-law of Charlotte Machen and Donald Calvin; aunt of Carla Machen, Edwina Nickelson, Elsie Sutton, Nancy Koopman, Barbara Krull and many more nieces and nephews. Also survived by longtime friends, Dr. Bill Hinson and his wife Bettye of Jasper, GA. She was preceded in death by her 17 brothers and sisters.
She was a native of St. Louis, MO and a resident of the New Orleans area for the past 50 years where she was the owner and founder of Heritage House Gifts.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 1:00 PM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM.
Interment will be in St. Louis, MO at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to American Legion Post 23, or the charity of your choice.
