Toni we have shared so many things growing up. I remember the first time I held Kim. She was such a sweet and beautiful baby. She was Al and your pride and joy. A gift from God. I will cherish the times these last few years that I did get to see her. All that she was going thru she still had that beautiful smile. Caitlan and Emma, I truly mean what I said about being so proud of the things you did for your mom. Just look at each other You will see your mom’s love in each others face and smile. Take care of each other and your Nana. Your Pops is holding his Kim and looking down and saying “ I will take care of my baby girl. Now you can rest easy knowing she is free.”

I believe it was 1987 when I met her. She was in a production at Destrehan theater, I think it was "Fiddler on the Roof" and I was playing keyboard for the show. Years later Forrest and I were at Charity's in Metairie and he was talking to someone and although my back was turned, the voice I heard was very familiar. I turned around and it was Kim. I think she was there with friends. Even now, I can still remember her smile and her voice, which I hear some in her daughters; warm, clear, and friendly voice that lights up the room. I also remember kindness that she extended to others by default, even before getting to know them.
