Kathleen Mary Anne McShan's Obituary
Kathleen Mary Anne McShan, at the age of 72, entered eternal rest peacefully on the morning of July 8, 2022 at her residence. She was born in New Orleans, LA on January 20, 1950 to Clyde McShan and Ursula Mumme McShan.
Kathy is survived by her adoring children, Victor McShan (Ashley) and Vincent Planetta (Esther). She was the proud grandmother of Kaleb Welch, Wyatt Dozier, Joseph Planetta, Naomi Planetta, Charity Planetta, Marie Planetta, Sarah Planetta and Silas Planetta; and was the caring sibling of Clyde McShan II (Deborah), Michael McShan (Karen) and Rosemary Fowlkes (Robert). She is also survived numerous nieces and nephews and a host of lifelong friends.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Wiley McShan; and her sister, Miriam Paquin.
Kathy was a native of New Orleans, LA and longtime resident of Amite, LA for over 35 years. She worked as a finance officer for NS Servicing Company for over 15 years.
Kathy was loving, compassionate, and most of all, a very caring person to all. She enjoyed spending time indoors playing with her dog, cooking and talking with her loved ones on the phone. However, her true passion was spending time with her loving family. Kathy was unique and irreplaceable, well respected and liked, and will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her jovial spirit and tender nature will remain in the many memoires of her cherished friends and family until they meet her again.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington Louisiana on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow the service in St. Dominick Cemetery 55720 Highway 445, Husser, LA Louisiana 70442.
