Karl Louis Scheuermann, Sr.'s Obituary
Karl Louis “Coach” Scheuermann, Sr. passed away on April 1, 2010. He was born May 25, 1934 in New Orleans to the late Earl Z. and Irma Haurie Scheuermann and was a long time resident of St. Bernard Parish before moving to Mandeville, LA in 2005.
The beloved husband of Carol Partlan Scheuermann, he is survived by nine children: Karen A., Karl L., Jr. (Stephanie), Mark A. (Tricia), Scott M. (Gina), Marie S. Wagner (Sean), Patrick E. (Sarah), Thomas J. (Ana), Michael D. (Chantelle) and Sherri S. Dutreix (Lonnie); his sister, Linda S. Swider (John) and one brother, Carroll P. Scheuermann (Sue). He is also survived by 23 grandchildren: Heidi, Alexis, Chandler, Kelsie, Tyler, Kale, Lonnie, Brett, Evan, Kendall, Julia, Rebecca, Claire, Christina, Amy, Caroline, Colin, Sam, Callie, Matthew, Henry, James, Sally.
A graduate of St. Aloysius Catholic School in New Orleans, Karl was a supervisor for Domino Sugar until his retirement in 1990. He served as Justice of the Peace in St. Bernard Parish for many years. He was a dedicated parishioner of St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Church in Arabi and then Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Mandeville.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial mass at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 312 Lafitte St. Mandeville, LA 70448.
Visitation at the church will begin at 9:30 AM and the praying of the Rosary at 10:30 AM.
Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington will immediately follow mass.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests masses.
